Bruno F-K mixes are available to play / download over on www.eccf.co.uk

Bruno infiltrated the DJ-ing world during 1999 by joining the Entertainments crew at Heriot-Watt University where he studied for his degree in Computer Science.

He started throwing beats around by using CDs whilst playing at student nights. Then later in that year he bought his trademark 1200s and began to experiment with mixing vinyl. He soon fell in love with his decks and records and discovered that mixing felt natural to him.

Promoters soon noticed his talents on the turntables and he was asked to warm up on the Heriot-Watt leg of the Euphoria Live Tour. He played at many Sushi nights at the University playing along side acts such as Lost Witness and Brandon Block.

During the summer of 2000 he was asked to play at the weekly Pre-Taste club, Touch, where he mesmerized clubbers with his chunky-funky sounds. Bruno reached the Scottish finals of the Daily Telegraph/Vestax DJ competition in 2000 and 2001 and was later honoured with a place as a judge for the same competition the following year.

His big break came when in 2001 when he secured his residency at Majestica where he remains a respected permanent fixture, notorious for belting out the tunes the crowds want to hear.

Since then he’s played at Taste, Soo Delicious, Exposure (Glasgow), The Breakfast Club, Club Together I & II and the Taste/Joy/Luvely/Majestica Charity Ball. He is now also a resident at EH1 in Edinburgh, playing at least once a month and also this year on Hogmany.

Bruno now plays more than just Funky house, playing a bit of progressive, little bit of techno and all things house, but always with that funky edge. Not one to be scared to drop the odd classic that guaranteed to get people jumping, he plays a un-pretentious mix of styles, and is a very versatile DJ.

Having avoided any more study since graduating in 2003 he is now in the middle of an MSc in Computer Games Technology at Abertay University, keeping him very busy – but he’s always got time for music... probably more time than he should have!
