At the tender age of 20 Kris has to be one of the youngest DJs involved in Edinburgh’s thriving house scene. Kris’s unique blend of soulful and funky house has meant that over the last year he has been extremely busy.

Having only been Djing for a few months Kris’s first big break came when he won the Red Bull and Fishtank DJ competition earlier this year. The competition was judged by some of Edinburgh’s top DJs who where all impressed with not only Kris’s technical ability but also his mature and electric taste in house music.

Over the last six months Kris has held down two weekly residencies and also played a number of guest slots at various clubs around Edinburgh including Stereotype, Graffiti, Bacardi BBar, Flaunt, Microphonic, Twist, Elektrasoul and Any Excuse. Kris also played a live set on local radio station Leith FM and has also done a number of live internet broadcasts for Scotland’s biggest clubbing website ClublandUK. All of which emphasis Kris enthusiasm and dedication to Djing.

Playing to varied crowds around Edinburgh and drawing on an electric mix of musical tastes and talents means none of Kris’s DJ sets are ever the same. Kris is known to spice up his set’s with the artistic use of acapella‘s and effects as well as his carefully considered tune selection.

As well as Djing Kris has also successfully tried his hand at promoting and he is also currently studying for a certificate in dance music production. Looking ahead to the future Kris hopes to branch out to playing gigs out with Edinburgh and also hopes to have some of his own productions.

Kris Lindsay is a definitely a name to look out for in the future.
