-The Sharp Boys
(George Mitchell and Steven React) are resident DJs at “Beyond” every Sunday
morning at Club Colosseum in London and host their own night “Royal House”
on the second Saturday of every month in the “Star Bar” at “Heaven” where
they spin a six hour set!
The boys have
guested all over the UK and abroad at some of the country’s
most fantastic nights including: Ministry of Sound (London), DTPM @ Fabric
(London), Code (Birmingham), Riot at The End (London), Progress (Derby),
The Zap (Brighton), The Gallery (London), Mezzanine (Wolverhampton), Taste
& Fruitfly (Scotland), Garlands (Liverpool), Sundissential
(Birmingham), Pussycat Club (Brighton), Essential (Manchester), The Cross
(London) & Miss Moneypenny’s (Birmingham), as well as festivals such
as: Creamfields (Wiltshire), the Radio 1 Love Parade (Leeds),
Purple In The Park (London), Summer Rites (London), & Mardi Gras (London).
Internationally
the Sharp Boys have toured; Japan (5 times), South Africa (4 times), Hong
Kong (twice), Czech Republic, Italy, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai
and all over America including tours for Trade in Los Angeles and New York
and 3 gigs at the “Ra” Club in Las Vegas. They have also spun all over Ibiza at clubs like Manumission, Es Paridis, Pacha, El Davino and Space.
Radio
Steven &
George have hosted their own radio show “The Sharp Saturday Night Invasion”
for five years on the UK’s leading dance music station Kiss 100.
Guests on the show have included; Carl Cox, Lottie,
Fatboy Slim, Erick Morillo,
Smokin Jo’, Mark Moore, Danny Rampling,
Daniele Davoli, Eddie
Amador, Danni Minogue, Peter Rauhofer,
Harry “Choo Choo” Romero
AND David Morales.
They have contributed
guest mixes on the coveted Radio 1 “Essential Selection” twice for Pete
Tong and have 2 forthcoming guest spots lined up … one on Fergie’s “Friday Night Show” and a full 1 hour guest mix live
from Gay Pride in Hyde
park for Seb Fontaine’s
show in July 2003!
Productions
& Remixing
The Sharp Boys
have remixed over 200 artists including Madonna, Diana Ross, Britney Spears, Geri Haliwell, Aretha Franklin, George Michael, Mary J Blige,
Janet Jackson and Luther Vandross.
They have produced
tracks for labels such as Azuli (“Raise The Alarm”);
Duty Free (“The Race Track” & “Rock”); Jellybean (“Generate Power”)
and Fuju / Junior (“Kryptonite”).
Sharp Recordings
Steven &
George have run their own label since December 1994. To date they have released
21 singles including tracks from the likes of Sara Parker (Licensed onto
Manifesto), Killa Green Budds,
Hip Hoperation, Felix and Kenny C, Jean Philippe
Aviance, Cool Jack (licensed onto AM:PM) and Malcolm Duffy.
Forthcoming releases include the sixth episode in the Sharp Boys own “Sharp
Tools” series.
