One girl on a mission to rock the world’s more discerning dancefloors and produce quality music that stands the test of time… that’s what Tania von Pear is all about!
Tania has been DJing for several years and originally formed one half of the Pears DJs duo with Venetia Allan. Three years working with Venetia proved an ideal basis for her burgeoning career with the setting up of their record label Pear Music & press company Pear Press plus regular parties under the banner of Movin’ House. Guesting around the UK with superb sets at Fabric, The End, The Cross, Ocean Rooms, The Matrix, The Velvet Rooms and The Boutique the girls began to make a serious impact even being named as “One’s To Watch” in M8 Magazine!
Their party Movin’ House, moved from strength to strength beginning with a long association with Turnmills, firstly with three invitations to host the second room at City Loud and then with the creation of the Movin’ House Lock-In at Anexo in November 2002.
Moving into 2003 there was the small matter of their joint party At Night… As The City Sleeps, a proper warehouse shindig that’s still being talked about, a trip to Ibiza to play for Clockwork Orange at Eden and the establishment of Going Places… Adventures in International House Music, a monthly party in the second room at The Gallery which sees Movin’ House bring cutting edge international house DJs to Turnmills every month including Tony Senghore, Erick E, Inland Knights, Willy Sanjuan, Glasse, Tim Andresen and many more!
In October 2003 Venetia decided to retire from DJing to concentrate on music production hading over the Pear reins to Tania who blossomed flying solo under the Tania von Pear name starting with a set as the sole “Future Heroine” at the Tribal Gathering Weekender and being signed to Ministry of Sound Radio! As well consistently rockin the crowd at Going Places every month as their only current female resident and co-promoter of Going Places for the famous Gallery parties, she has travelled around the world spreading her sound of solid house music, a dash of breakbeat, a healthy slice of bootlegs from Russia to Argentina to India to Ibiza and beyond! Plus Tania regularly guests at the crème of parties in the UK including Saturday Sessions, Dusted, STUD, Drama, Chicks With Decks in cities from Brighton to Manchester to Edinburgh!
Tania also runs her own press company Pear Press with business partner Esther Gold where music clients include DJ Disciple, Richard F and Joeski as well as their label Pear Music which has so notched up four releases including ‘Cheza’ by Khaya featuring Mapumba which gained support from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, Danny Rampling and Lottie and was licensed around the world to compilations including “Defected in the House”.

addict who loves what she does Tania has a very bright future ahead of her
in 2005 which so far include dates in Russia, Poland, a brand new slot time
for her radio show on Ministry of Sound and her first solo production release.
