Jon Pleased ...

From the ashes of pre-house clubs such as Kinky Gerlinky and Taboo, when a good night was measured on hedonism, came screaming through Jon Pleased Wimmin! After many a night dancing on podiums in London's clubland - Jon was given his break as a DJ by Danny Rampling at his weekly night Glam, allowing him to play to a whole new audience and propelling him into the public eye.

His career snowballed in the early 90's and he soon found himself spinning at such legendary clubs as Back to Basics, Venus and many more - soon establishing himself as a much-in-demand DJ. Since then he has never looked back - but never betraying his roots and passion for all good music from every genre. Throughout his career Jon has always progressed and developed his style further - dropping the drag in 1997 for (in his own words) 'a more comfortable evening out!'

In the last 10 years we have seen Jon ride the waves of the superclubs in the UK including a 2 year residency at Cream and travel all over the globe. 1998 saw Jon settle down somewhat - taking up a much-coveted residency at Glasgow's Love Boutique.

Currently Jon is still playing guest spots all over the world, favouring long sets whereby he can play Deep house through the spectrum to tough progressive tunes, creating a frenzy on the dance floor. His set is likely to include material by H foundation, Peace Division, Future Shock, Deep Dish through to Timo Maas, Bedrock, Luke Slater and Ritchie Hawtin. Such a broad spectrum of musical genres, with one thing in common: the music is brilliant.

International excursions have taken him as far afield as Australia to South America - his all time favourite club is Pasha in Buenos Aires. On home ground Jon can be found spinning at his regular spots Taste, Renaissance, The Gallery, Gatecrasher, Cream, Home and Feel to name but a few, alongside one off events such as the Brit Awards and Homelands and the fantastic Wall of Sounds Sizzler parties.
