Miss Chris ...

Music is in Chris’s blood, brought up in a family with a Father who is a professional musician, Chris achieved grade 6 in piano and grade 4 in guitar at a very young age, mostly self taught, he has a great ear for music and can pick up and play tunes after just one listen , in later years he also learned to read music. This inbred musical ability has obviously helped him to rapidly accquire the skills required to become a very talented dj.
Chris’s first clubbing experiences were in his home town of Saltcoats, Ayrshire, at the infamous Metro club, his interest in dance music continued to grow when he moved to Edinburgh in September 2000, where he studied for and achieved a degree in Sports Science in August 2004.
Throughout his years at University Chris was a regular clubber at many of the Capitals best Club Nights , but it was only in the last couple of years due to a chance meeting at an after party that Chris got the opportunity to have a go at Djing. A friend asked him if he could look after his decks and mixer for him and he jumped at the chance to be able to have a go at mixing with his already very extensive vinyl collection.
Within a matter of weeks Chris was offered his first DJ slot at Prive Council soon followed by a Summer residency at Berlin alongside his friend Richie [whos’ decks he’d been looking after] which lead to a DJ duo called Frisky and Rich being formed [Chris and Richie] and a 1 year residency at Red as the official Taste pre club called Foreplay.
During the Summer of 2006 Frisky and Rich split up and Chris moved his Foreplay night to Baraka where it ran throughout The Edinburgh Festival.
Now that Chris has a monthly residency
at Taste he has given up the pre club and is devoting all his spare time
to learning how to use PC music production tools such as Cubase and Reason
so expect to hear some original productions from him in the very near
future. Probably by the end of the month knowing how quickly he picks
things up.
